There are no specific guidelines or numbers.

The forum must include:
    •   worker representatives from designated and non- designated groups; and
    •   senior management representing the employer.

The following is an example found in an employer's policy:

The EEC must be composed of:

    •   the chairperson, who must be the senior manager assigned according to section 24(1)(a) of the Employment Equity Act, 1998 to take the responsibility for monitoring and implementing the Employment Equity Plan of the department;
    •   employer representatives;
    •   the trade union representatives or, employee nominated representatives reflecting the interest of all occupational categories and levels in a department;
    •   representatives from designated groups(i.e blacks, women and people with disabilities); as well as
    •   representatives from undesignated groups.
