Good Day

We sent our letter of intent to  accreditation@qcto.org.za . on 10 June 2019. But have not yet received our registration confirmation. We are already registered SDF with FASSET and require this registration to offer ICB Courses. Any help will be greatly appreciated as no-one answers the landline.

Thank-you in advance.
Regards Elijah

The move to combine the Department’s of Higher Education and Training together with Science and Technology will further open huge
opportunities in the production of both knowledge and skills and significantly contribute innovation in our country. This allows for the integration
of DST and DHET under a single Ministry, enabling realignment and repositioning of their joint capabilities in new ways.

The National Plan for Post-School Education and Training (NPPSET) will soon be released to give practical effect to the policy goals and
objectives of the PSET system. NPPSET is a consolidated roadmap for a more integrated, transformed, articulated and effective post-school
system.

The Skills Master Plan in response to the known skills demands associated with the 4th Industrial Revolution will be complemented by a national

list of Occupations in High Demand and the Critical Skills List. The new Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) landscape will be implemented from 1st April 2020 with the aim to strengthen, realign and repurpose the SETA system.

Through public universities, a Central Applications Clearing House was implemented to efficiently and effectively manage the enrolments of
students. This has been done as a prelude to a planned Central Applications Service (CAS). The proposed CAS will provide a one-stop service
for applications into PSET institutions, ensuring that prospective students can apply for a wide range of programmes and institutions, and at the
same time, apply for accommodation funding.
Despite the increase in funding to TVET colleges, student performance has not improved. In response, a process of institutionalising lecturer
capacity-building, using funding from the skills levy system, is underway. A task team will be established to address the backlogs on the issuing
of TVET certification. The TVET college sector has made strides with nine new campus sites under construction and scheduled for completion
in 2020. Targets have been identified to increase youth and adult participation opportunities in the Community Education and Training (CET)
College system to one million students by 2030.

Budget for 2019/20 is as follows:

University education R59, 25 billion
TVET R10, 72 billion
Community Education R2, 35 billion
Administration R446, 58 million
Skills Development R264, 48 million
Planning, Policy and Strategy R79, 9 million
TOTAL R73 124 073 billion
