Differences between Learnerships and Apprenticeships

•   Learnerships are similar to the old apprenticeship system in so far as they are a work-based route for learning and gaining qualifications.

•   In these ways learnerships are intended to be transformative mechanisms, compared with the more conventional learning programmes of apprenticeships.
